What is this guide?
Most resources and knowledge about alignment are currently scattered (and it’s hard to know what’s important).
This guide is a curated central hub of information and resources for alignment. Crucially, we view alignment as a technical problem, and as such, we provide technical resources. We keep every page short for you, with options to dig deeper.
Using this guide
We recommend you start with a look at Why Alignment is Urgent for an overview for what the alignment problem is about and why it matters; even if you've heard of alignment before, there's a lot of misconceptions and misunderstandings within the space.
Overview of Current Efforts actually dives into what current organizations are doing, and then we further expand on those technical research directions in Research Directions.
Lastly, Next Steps is where we recommend you go if you want to start working on alignment.
